Palau Sustainable Tourism Strategy 2025 – 2028

Welcome to a new chapter in Palau’s journey—a bold and united vision to protect what makes our islands sacred, while inviting the world to experience it with care. The Palau Sustainable Tourism Strategy 2025–2028 is a national movement to build a more responsible, inclusive, and resilient tourism future under our proud banner: Pristine Paradise. Palau

This medium-term strategy is guided by the values embedded in the Palau Pledge—a world-first conservation promise every visitor must take upon entry, reminding all who come that protecting Palau is a shared duty. With this spirit of stewardship, the Strategy sets the course for how we manage our natural and cultural treasures while ensuring tourism contributes meaningfully to local livelihoods and community wellbeing.

With that, the strategy aims to strengthen the collaboration across six essential groups.

  • National Government Agencies
  • State Governments
  • Private Sector Representatives
  • Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)
  • International Development Partners
  • Community Members

This Strategy is not just about policy—it’s about people. By working together, we ensure that Palau’s tourism future is not only sustainable, but distinctly ours.

With unity, vision, and heart, we will keep Palau a Pristine Paradise—not just in name, but in practice.
