Our Divisions
The Bureau of Cultural and Historical Preservation (BCHP) plays a critical role in safeguarding Palau’s cultural and historical heritage.
Led by the Director, the Bureau operates through two specialized divisions: the Division of Archaeology, which focuses on the preservation and research of Palau’s ancient sites, and the Division of Ethnography, which works to document and protect the nation’s oral histories and cultural traditions. Together, these divisions ensure the protection and celebration of Palau’s legacy for future generations.
