Oral History and Ethnography

❖ Work with the Society of Historians (Klobak er a Ibetel a Cherechar) to document and publish
oral histories and traditional customary practices.
❖ Work with elders to ensure their knowledge is recorded and saved.
❖ Conduct ethnographic research (resulting in ethnographic reports).
❖ Responsible for collection of oral histories and traditional customary practices of Palau.
❖ Collect significant information on historical sites as identified by the Survey &
Inventory/Archaeology Section.
